Pickleball Thoughts:
The future of Pickleball will probably be the fast slam game. However, there is a very strong contingent of players favoring the slow game.

Pickleball will improve your life.
Pickleball is played in USA, England, Canada, Brazil, China, Russia, India, Italy, Japan, Finland, Spain, and many other countries.
Keep your paddle up, don't lose your serve, serve deep - high - floating balls into the opponent's court, keep the return of serve in, keep the ball in play, clear the net by good measure, control the net/non-volley line, in doubles move parallel with your partner side to side & front to back, be patient, hit many of your shots low & down the middle or low to opponent's backhand, split-step, third - shot - drop, dink, drop-shot, lob, no unforced errors, don't back-peddle since that contributes to falling, poach, volley - volley - volley, be persistent & consistent, and give your opponents ample time to lose the point.
Play probabilities.
Be a hero - not a zero.
Buy time.
Keep opponents back.
Be smart - think ahead.

Avoid hogging partner.
Avoid yelling to partner.
Think of the ball as a problem
that you want to hit (give) back to your opponent(s).
When you are at the net it shields
your opponent's difficult shots at your feet.
Good teammates communicate really well.
Underspin to slow ball down & topspin to speed ball.
#1 rule of pickleball doubles -- get a good partner.

Be careful - don't fall.
Practice on tennis backboard
Think
When poaching - move just before your opponent hits the ball.
Read the other team.
Less is more.
Frequency may be more important than duration.
You are what you do ... not what you say you'll do.
It is not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.
Make your mom proud.
Do the right thing.
Buy low - sell high.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding."
"For we live by faith - not by sight."
2 Corinthians 5:7
... Pickleball ...
Before you speak, listen.
Before you write, think.
Before you spend, earn.
Before you invest, investigate.
Before you criticize, wait.
Before you pray, forgive.
Before you quit, try.
Before you retire, save.
Before you die, give.”
--William Arthur Ward --
Balance-Balance-Balance.
Even a blind squirrel can find an acorn some of the time.
Pickleball is 90% mental and the other half is physical.

Persistence changes failure to achievement.
Let your paddle do the talking.
Learn to generate top spin on the forehand.
Learn how to play "Skinny Singles" to improve
your accuracy, consistency, and non-injury.
Teach a kid how to play pickle ball.
Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work.
It's hard to beat a person who never gives up.
If you can't outplay them, outwork them.
It ain't over ... till it's over.
Make sure your worst enemy doesn't live between
your own ears.
Make each day your masterpiece.
A good pickle ball player plays where the ball is. A great pickleball player plays where the ball is going to be.
Pickleball medals eventually gather dust.
Pickleball memories last forever.
If you fail to prepare, you've prepared to fail.
It does not matter how slow you go
as long as you do not stop.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on you own understanding ... (Proverbs 3:5)
I never lose. I either win ... or ... I learn.
Do it -- Fix it -- Try it
Chaotic action is preferable to orderly inaction.
Focus - Focus - Focus.
In pickleball (unlike tennis)
minimize back swing ... maximize follow-thru.
There are two kinds of perfect pickleball players:
those who are dead, and
those who have not been born yet.
It's in old kettles that one makes the best soup.
Persistence can change failure
into
extraordinary achievement
Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.
You know you are getting older when:
You set in a rocking chair but cannot keep it going;
Your knees buckle but your belt won't;
Your back goes out more than you do;
You are proud of your lawn mower;
You sing along with elevator music;
You know all the answers but nobody asks you the questions;
You enjoy hearing about other people's medical operations;
Your ears are hairier then your head;
Prunes are your favorite fruit; and
You have a party and your neighbors don't even know about it.
